Sara Bordignon comes from the small town of Marostica, located in the North Eastern region of Veneto. After meeting her American husband in Italy in 1998, she began the process of moving back and forth from Italy to the US every 2 or 3 years. These moves have taught Sara the importance of understanding and embracing the cultural differences of new places, and for this reason while in Italy, she began teaching Italian language and culture to the newly arrived migrants and to the families of military personnel stationed in Italy.
In the US she was part of the welcoming committee for foreign students arriving at the University of California, Davis (where she received her BA in International Relations) and she taught Italian at a Community College in Watertown, NY.
She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband, her 2 teen daughters, a dog and a cat.
