Paola Corneo was born in Arona, a charming town on Lake Maggiore, Piemonte, where she spent her formative years. Later, pursuing advanced studies, she earned a Master of Pharmacy from the Università Statale, Milan. After a period of time when she worked as a biomedical scientist for a private company located in Novara, she moved to Paris. There she continued her studies, and earned a second Master in Art History and Archeology from the Sorbonne. In 2001, a few years after she moved to the United States, she started to teach Italian at Casa Italiana, the Italian Cultural Society, and the French International School, among other institutions. Paola is the mother of two children (the oldest just started college this year), and loves books, travel, photography, and bees.
