Olga Mancuso was born and educated in Palermo, Sicily, daughter of educators. She has carried on the family tradition by becoming a teacher herself, currently in Montgomery County public schools. Olga has long been a distinguished member of the Italian Cultural Society, serving on its board in the past, and having held the offices of president and vice president. She is the president of the local branch of the American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI) that includes the states of Maryland and Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She is the former director of the Italian Language School at Casa Italiana and former board member and treasurer of the Council for the Promotion of the Italian Language in American Schools (CoPILAS). Mrs. Mancuso lives in Chevy Chase where she cares for her parents, and is the proud mother of three children and four grandchildren.
