Francesca was born in Dante Alighieri’s home town, Florence, where she started studying foreign languages (English, French and German) at the age of 11. She has a MA in Political Science and International Relations that she obtained between Florence (University of Florence) and Paris (Université La Sorbonne Paris I). As a Communications and Development manager, she has several years of experience in the education, humanitarian and cultural sector. She has worked for the University of Florence, NGOs (COSPE, Refugees International) and for the World Heritage Centre/UNESCO in Paris. In 2010, she founded her own business as property manager, travel planner and relocation services provider.
She moved to Maryland in 2013. In 2014, she started teaching to children and adults as a tutor and at a private school. As a result, she discovered a deep passion for teaching and she appreciates the opportunity to help her students develop and grow emotionally and intellectually.
She loves traveling and being with people, listening to their stories and experiencing their traditions and cuisine. She enjoys music and theatre. She used to sing as an alto in a choir and act in Florentine dialect plays.
