This year we will not hold the traditional party at the Friendship Heights Village Center, but we are participating in the organization of two parties:
1. February 25th – 6:00-9:00 pm at Casa Italiana, located at: 595 1/2 Third Street, NW – Washington, DC. 20001, in collaboration with Casa Italiana, Ente Gestore, AMHS, Lucchesi nel Mondo, Italians in DC, Comites e Ambasciata d’Italia. Charity dinner to help the kids from the Marche earthquake region. Kids enrolled in the Italian Language Program were our guests, attending free of charge. The Italian Cultural Society covered the cost of their tickets, since the Festa di Carnevale is part of our curriculum aimed to teach Italian language, culture and traditions. This year our little students performed a “Carnevale rap song” written by the advanced level students and Maestra Maura. Pictures and video follow!
2. February 26th – 10:00-2:00 pm at the Candy Cane City Park – Meadowbrook Park Activity Building, located at: 7901 Meadowbrook Lane, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 (for kids and their families – Only ILP students or ICS, DIVE or MaPaCi Members). Le D.I.V.E. hanno organizzato, in collaborazione con MAPACI – ITALIANS IN DC & ITALIAN CULTURAL SOCIETY la tradizionale Festa di Carnevale. Pizza & Bibite per tutti, Coriandoli, Stelle Filanti, Mascherine per il viso, Giochi, Art & Craft. Pictures and video follow!

I bambini dell’Italian Language Program cantano Carnevale Rap, written by Nicolò, Yota, Massimo, Alessandra, Arianna e Lucia, with Maestra Maura.
