Clarissa Frigerio was born and raised next to the world-famous lake with the same name in Como, Italy. She studied Lingue e Letterature Straniere in Milan, where she also served as a primary school teacher in a bilingual school. In May 2014 she completed an MA in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) at West Virginia University where she was also employed as an Italian instructor. She is now teaching in the Washington area, including at the Italian Cultural Society, to both children and adults, and is eager to promote the Italian language and culture. Apart from Italian and English, Clarissa is also fluent in French, and German.
