Originally from Rome, Cecilia has been living in Maryland for the past seven years. After studying at the “liceo classico” in Italy, she moved to Maryland on a student Visa and obtained a BA in art and in Education from the University of Maryland, as well as a AA in illustration. During Summer 2012 Cecilia volunteered at the Homeless Children Playtime Project in DC as an art coordinator. She completed her internship at Thomas G. Pullen Creative and Performing Arts School il PG county Maryland. She taught art to children ages 5-12. Currently, Cecilia joined Friends Community School, a quaker school in College Park. There, she teaches art to K-2 grade, and she also provide assistance for 1/2 grade classes. In teaching elementary-age children, Cecilia “rediscovers the joy for small things.” Cecilia enjoys reading, camping, and visiting museums in her spare time.
